'El Camichin' is a 250 year old finca which has been recently completely restored, providing a lovely holiday home whilst retaining all it's charm. The house has been fully modernised to a very high standard throughout. It is set in it's own grounds surrounded by rural land with orange groves with fantastic views all round. The walled perimeter gives the house and pool area a high degree of privacy. Despite it's rural location, amenities are close at hand with the nearest village only 3 minutes drive away.
Accommodation Summary : There are 3 large double bedrooms in the main house plus 3 bath/shower rooms. One double bedroom is access from the kitchen terrace and one bedroom and ensuite shower room is in the poolhouse. There is a fully fitted kitchen plus laundry room in addition to the sitting/dining room. There are several outside eating areas including a shaded poolside naya with a gas barbecue and small drinks fridge.

Is underfloor heating & woodburning stove for winter lets. In summer tiled floors and room fans keep rooms cool.
Pool area is not separated from rest of garden by fencing so might be concern if are young children present.
Roof terrace accessed from upstairs bedrooms is enclosed but affords spectacular views and seclusion. Dining room opens onto an internal courtyard & kitchen has it's own terrace. The covered naya by the front door has a dining table as well as sofas for relaxing in the shade. There is a table tennis table on the old front drive.
The pool is 10m x 5m and surrounded by large paved area softened by planting and with plenty of sunbeds. The covered eating area houses a large dining table and gas barbecue. The whole property is walled to ensure privacy and safety.
There is parking for 2 cars within the lockable gates and space for a further car in the carport outside.

Transport Whilst a car is very useful it is not vital and it is possible to get by on local transport. The railway halt of La Xara is close by and here you can catch the small train that runs between Denia & Alicante every 2 hours. In the village of La Xara (15 mins walk away) there is a good sized supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, bank, several bars and a couple of restaurants. A bus in La Xara will take you to Denia in one direction and Javea in the other.
Family Activities It is only 8 minutes drive to the nearest sandy beach. Denia town is 1o mins drive away and boasts a medieval castle, many exciting fiestas and a covered daily food market. The market town and port of Javea is about 20 minutes drive away and fronm here you can rent jet skis, pedaloes, water skiing and diving trips. In Benidorm there is a water park (Aqualandia) & a great theme park (Terra Mitica) both of which are excellent days out.
Sport There are some very good golf courses very close by with the La Sella 18 hole par 72 course designed by Jose Maria Olazabal only a short distance down the road towards Javea. About 15 mins drive away is the Seve Ballasteros designed golf course at Oliva Nova. The villa faces south towards the luxury development of La Sella where there are several clay and all weather tennis courts available to rent. Tennis coaching is also available here as is horseback riding. Also nearby is the 5 star Marriott Hotel with it's golf course, gymnasium, spa and beauty treatments as well as a high standard restaurant
