The upstairs sitting room holds a collection of books, mostly novels (both child and adult) and a good selection of board games, which can be used by guests during their stay,
The Islas Medes, off the coast at Estartit (20 mins) is a marine sanctuary, one of the best dive sites in Europe. There are several diving clubs in Estartit that take diving groups out to the island, or give instruction to obtain a 'Paddy'licence.
The hills of the Gavarres, (10 mins. drive) are well known for walking and mountain biking.Mas ferran is situated just outside the old village of Casavells where bread is still baked daily in a wood burning oven. 10 minutes away is the market town of La Bisbal d'Empordà, capital of the Baixa Emporda (one of the richest areas of Catalunya), famous for its ceramics. Close by are the Roman ruins at Ullestret, and many other historic medieval villages. The Gala Dalí museum in La Pera is 10 minutes away, the Dalí museum in Figueres-30 mins. Girona - capital of the province, with its Roman and Arabic history which can be seen in the old part of the city, also has a modern side, with great shopping, restaurants and night clubs- a 30 min. drive. The most beautiful of all the Costa Brava beaches, Aigua Blava, Calella de Palafrugell, Llfranc are 20minutes by car-small sandy bays with rocky headlands, pine trees and clean water. Perfect for children swimming, diving, sailing etc. Barcelona is 90 mins by car or train (nearest train station is 15mins - hourly service to Barcelona).
Recently the Costa Brava was voted by the IAGTO (International association of international Golf Tour Operators) as the “best emerging golf destination world wide”. There are 11 courses all within an hours drive of Mas Ferran – 4 of which are considered amongst the best in Spain : EMPORDA ( 15 min. drive), Home to the European Tour Qualifying School , 27 holes, Par 71 and 72. PALS (15 min drive) 18 holes, par 73. PGA CATALUNYA (50 min drive), Ranked in the top ten best golf courses in Europe- 18 holes par 72. GIRONA (30 min drive) 18 holes, Par72. Others are Perelada, Torremirona, Mas Pages, Gualta, Serres de Pals, Mas Nou (d’Aro) and L’Angel de Lloret.
AIRPORTS- the nearest international airport is Girona. 40 minute drive, Car hire available at the airport. Ryanair flights from Blackpool, Bournemouth, Doncaster (from October), East Midlands, Liverpool, Luton, Stanstead in the UK and many other European cities. Barcelona airport-90mins by car or train- scheduled services and Easy Jet flights from the UK.
TRAINS- nearest station Flaca, (10 Kms), with hourly connections to Barcelona and regular service into France.
MOTORWAY- A7 runs to Barcelona and to the french border (45mins). Nearest junction 25Kms

Only when we are satisfied that an advertiser and their property is genuine do we add our Green Shield to their property advert. Apart from being a deterrent, it also encourages advertisers to make sure they verify their property, giving you peace of mind when you make your booking.
If you want to make a booking look for the Green Shield on the top right of the property advert, if you do not see our Green Shield it may mean we have not yet completed the verification process. We normally complete this process within a few days if no verification is forthcoming the advert is removed.
