The lower level, has a bathroom and kitchenette. Bedroom 4 has twin beds and a seating area with a sofa and TV. Bedroom 5 has a double bed and built in wardrobe. All linen is provided. CALPE COSTA BLANCA NORTH INFORMATION Weather in Calpe is mild (and well known for it) throughout the year, making it an ideal destination for holiday makers in summer and winter months. Both the town and surrounding areas are sheltered by hills and high mountains, allowing for a kind of micro climate. This limits rainfall, and as a result the region enjoys sunshine for more than 320 days per year. The sun is at its hottest during the summer months, with temperatures rarely falling below 30°C (86°F). Whereas typically very mild winters, boast averages of around 18°C (64°F).
This region (especially the southernmost part of the Costa) is famous for its salt lakes (salt is a major export). This has a major knock on effect on humidity levels, and as a result the air is much dryer than in other parts of Spain and Europe. The WHO (World Health Organisation) have rated this part of Spain one of the healthiest climates on the planet.
There are Museums, picturesque little streets and squares and many bars and restaurants.
LA FUSTERA AREA With 11 kilometres of coastline, Calpe has twelve sandy beaches most with promenades and lots of bars, restaurants and shops. Calpe is a beautiful holiday centre for those looking for a beautiful relaxing resort, with plenty to do and see. Calpe has two main very good, safe and sandy beaches. The two beaches are linked by a promenade approximately two miles long. Calpe has a wide choice of shops, and there is a large general open-air market on Saturday mornings.
There are many restaurants, which offer a variety of international menus and are well known for their quality and reasonable prices. Benidorm is about 20 minutes ride away for those seeking a more sophisticated night out. There is a regular bus service to Benidorm, Alicante and Valencia. Terra Mitica is a new theme park suitable or all age groups 20 minutes drive away. Sandy beaches everywhere, swimming, diving and other sports. You can also play golf or sail along the coast to enjoy the last rays of sun. Lots to see and do!
How to get there All UK airports on budget airlines (ryan air, easyjet, bmibaby, thomsons, flybe) fly to either Alicante or Valencia Airport from the UK.
